This site will show any new events that are scheduled as well as any changes to already-scheduled events. We recommend you check this site the night before you head out to an event just in case there have been any changes or cancellations.
Fall and Winter events, especially those more than 75 miles from Phoenix, almost always begin at 9 AM and end anywhere from 11 AM to 3 PM, depending upon how much work needs to be done and how many volunteers are attending. Events in hot weather months usually start at 8 AM.
You may arrive at and leave the events whenever you like.
We prefer children be at least 8 years old, and preferably 10, to attend an event. Parent or guardian must be present with their children at all times.
One week before each event, Wild At Heart will email those who signed up for the event. The email will contain information about the event and directions to it.
Volunteers coming to Wild At Heart Burrowing Owl events should wear closed shoes and be prepared to work in soft soil. Work gloves are provided.
Water in plastic bottles are provided. You can fill your own bottle from these. Most sites do not have commercial food vendors nearby.
